ANONYMOUS CASE STUDY · FOOD MANUFACTURING

Bringing factory and office work together.

An operations application built around established paper forms, customer ordering and delivery preparation.

The starting point

The business relied on established paper records and operational spreadsheets. The first task was to understand the forms, ordering rules and delivery processes the team needed to preserve.

The work

  • Digital forms for quality, traceability and production records, with saved submissions visible to the office.
  • Customer and office order entry connected to a shared order record and delivery-sheet workflow.
  • Safeguards for repeat submissions, conflicting edits and recovery of unfinished entries.
  • A separate test environment for checking changes before release.

Where it stands

The core system is deployed, and production records show workshop submissions being saved. Tests have also followed orders from entry through delivery-sheet exports. Rollout continues with staff review of the complete workflow and the handoff into working documents.

Measuring the difference

Measured time savings and error reduction have not yet been established. The next step is a comparable before-and-after assessment of an accepted workflow, including the human review and remaining handoffs.

The value of an operational tool depends on the whole job: capturing information, confirming it is saved, making it available to the next person and completing the real-world handoff.
